InterExchange Au Pair USA Launches New 10-Minute Online Application Process
Quicker and more convenient application process now available to new and re-
applying host families. Host family applications received online prior to May
15th to receive $600 discount.

of a highly anticipated new online application feature. Their new “10 minute”
application makes it easier and more convenient for new and re-applying host
families to sign up for the Au Pair USA program.
“Our host families requested a more convenient online application that fits their
busy lives.” explains Michael McHugh, Program Director for Au Pair USA. “We’re
finding that families often research their childcare options through online
resources, and they prefer to complete the process online.”
Au Pair USA is a cultural exchange program that matches pre-screened, responsible
young people from over 40 countries with host families here in the US. The
participants live with the family for one year, and provide up to 45 hours per
week of live-in childcare for their host family in exchange for accommodations
and a fixed weekly stipend. Au pair stipends are fixed by the US State
Department, per family, making au pair childcare an affordable and popular
alternative to traditional nannies or daycare centers.
Au Pair USA's host family application has been redesigned to provide a more
intuitive experience, and the longer paper application has been condensed to
allow both new and renewing families to complete the online version in
approximately 10 minutes. “We recognize that parents are very busy and often
pulled in several directions at once.” McHugh adds, “Even though applying online
is now a remarkably quick process, we still built the application in such a way
that you can quit midway, save your information, and come back later to complete
the process.”
McHugh adds that Au Pair USA host families will also see an overall streamlined
application process, speeding up the application processing time, and getting the
names and credentials of potential au pairs into the hands of families that much
faster. “With online applications, your matching consultant will start searching
for qualified matches right away, and send your family several bios for review
within just a few days. The whole matching process can now be expedited, which
families appreciate, especially with the busy summer months coming up.”
