Au Pair of the Year - Japanese Woman From Au Pair USA Wins!

Mayumi Yano, a 24-year old au pair from Musashi Murayamashi, Japan was honored as the 2010 International Au Pair of the Year in Miami, Florida.

Mayumi, an au pair with InterExchange’s Au Pair USA program, was nominated for the award by her Host Family, the Yadao-Cahill family of New Jersey.  Very impressive and we are watching Au Pair USA au pair agency closely.  They are making strong, steady strides to increase market share - getting new parents to visit their newly updated Website is easy and their new au pair review feature is good.  Now, they just won the prestigious Au Pair of the Year Award.  They must be doing something right!

We would love to hear from Au Pair USA host parents - testimonials and complaints.  Send them in and we use them to rate this company and gauge their new success.

Au pairs from Japan is unusual!  We don't see too many young women from Japan signing up for a cultural exchange program and coming to America to work as childcare givers.  The numbers of Japanese au pairs are small, perhaps 200 a year across agencies.

Anyone with an au pair from Japan?  We would love to hear about your experiences!

How exciting!

First Asian au pair to win award, that is very exciting!  We have a daughter adopted from China and we use au pairs from China and we would love to see a Chinese au pair win the award!  They are wonderful au pairs and despite the recent complaint made by the Chinese au pair on the Family Forums, the au pairs from China are very hard working and respectful!
