Don't forget - the weekly stipend you pay your au pair is going up this month!
The Au Pair stipend, or weekly "pay" you give your au pair, is determined by the U.S. Department of Labor - this stipend reflects minimum wage minus estimated room and board amount.
The weekly stipends, for both standard Au Pair and EduCare Au Pair programs, are linked to the federal minimum wage. When the U.S. federal minimum wage increases, the Au Pair stipend increases.
Starting July 24, 2009, the stipend for the following programs will increase:
