EurAuPair's New Child Care Promise Policy Protects Parent's Lob Loss
Child Care Promise by EurAuPair - New!
In the event of an involuntary full-time job loss, host families who apply or re-apply on or after April 1, 2009 to participate in a 12-month program year, this agency will offer parents the opportunity to receive the standard contractual refund and to keep their au pair until the end of her program year.
This is from their website:
"EurAupair host families that are compelled to make the decision to cancel their program participation as a result of an involuntary full-time job loss, after the au pair has arrived in their home, may elect to either retain the au pair for the period of time remaining on their first 12-month program year or request that EurAupair remove the au pair from their home. EurAupair will make every effort possible to place the au pair with another family.
EurAupair will refund the program fees, for the time remaining on the 12-month program year, according to the program’s refund calculation schedule based on a review of reasonable documentation proving the loss of income.
If the host family retains the au pair they agree to continue to comply with all program guidelines and policies and must continue to pay the au pair’s weekly stipend and provide all required educational benefits."
This program incentive is similar to both Au Pair in America's and Cultural Care's Protection Plans against job loss and au pair placements. It is a win-win situation for host parents!
