Upgraded Website Resources with Over 1000+ Pages in less than 2 Years!

Dear readers,

I am so happy to be here after almost 2 years (we started AuPairClearinghouse.com in late 2008). With over 1000+ pages of helpful tips, articles, reviews and ratings, we are close to our goal of providing the very best consumer information to parents looking for good, safe and reliable childcare.

We want to do more - more ratings, more reviews, more interviews, articles, forum discussions, etc. I am working hard to bring on more expert au pair professionals from the industry to share their experience with you, the consumer. We have more interviews coming soon - Natalie Jordan, VP of Cultural Care weighs in with her insights on screening and recruiting and Heidi Woehl, President of Au Pair Care, discusses favorite au pairs for parents and how her agency stays on top of the industry!

We all want the very best for our children, and if the Clearinghouse can add something of weight and substance to this endeavor, we would be so very pleased and happy!

I will buy a year's membership

Even though I have an au pair, and have been successful with the program for 2 years, I am still going to buy a year's membership and continue to do so while I am in the au pair exchange program. I see it as part of the expense of having an au pair. Things change, agencies change, and I want to know all the updated news, etc., discounts too that would affect me and my family while we are hosting an au pair.

Also, I don't think it is very expensive - thank you for not charging more!

Blogging and au pairs

Aupairclearinghouse, I like your website, but I will not buy a membership. I am an experienced host mom and I am sorry to know I will not be able to read all of your articles, etc., because they are very good.

I like to comment on blogs, however, and I think I will stick to that. I like to get engaged and read about other host moms and what their day is like, etc. and what is going on with their au pairs. I will check in and hopefully will find some good stuff even though you are now a paid membership.

To new host parents - there is LOTS of stuff here that you should read if you are a novice and it is worth getting the 3 months membership since it takes about that amount of time to get an au pair, from deciding on an agency to finally picking the au pair up at their airport!

I'm disappointed to see that you are changing to a paid membership site. While I agree that APC is a great resource for new and prospective host families, as an experienced host parent, I simply can't justify paying to participate in the forums, which was my main reason for visiting the site.

Congratulations on your growth over the last 2 years, and I wish you the best of luck in the future.

Congratulations aupairclearinghouse, you resource website has been very helpful to us, as parents of a special needs child, you were right on spot when it came to directing us to an agency who could match us with the right au pair for our family! I am now a member and I wish you lots of success!
