Stay-at-Home Moms Forced Back to Work

These tough economic times are troubling and pundits predict things will get worse before they get better. The stock market hit new lows again this week and President Obama is planning to spend more than a trillion dollars on America's economic recovery! 

What are middle-class families to do?  They are struggling to meet mortgage payments, pay for staggering college tuitions and keep good, nutritous food on the table.  

Our Feature Country - Thailand!

We just posted our feature country for the month of March - Thailand!  It is such a beautiful country - tourists gush over the sunny weather,  the amazing beaches and the intoxicating sights and scenes of exotic Thailand.  

Becoming an au pair is not a common concept in Thailand, although it is catching on pretty well.  The girls that do sign up are usually older,  University educated, and their families  have the money to pay the fees to apply to the program.   

Host Parents Working as Counselors - A Good Idea or Just Wrong?

We received an email from a host mom who complained about her new counselor.  Apparently, her counselor is also a host mom with the same program!

Child Vaccinations and Autism

The U.S. Claims Court ruled last week that there was no connection between childhood vaccines and autism.  I suppose we can now relax about our children receiving their regular vaccinations without worry they may cause such a dreadful disorder in our children. 

Now that we know there is no scientific evidence of a link between vaccines and autism, will parents of autistic children get off the bandwagon and stop making such a fuss and scaring the public about our country's vaccination program?
