Best Quality Au Pairs - 2012
Host Parents Ratings - the Best Quality Au Pairs
In our 2012 Host Family Satisfaction Survey, parents rate their level of Satisfaction with their agency’s Quality of Au Pairs.
The Quality of Au Pairs is defined by these characteristics:
- Ability to Keep Children Safe
- Pleasant & Flexible Personalities (i.e., easy to get along with, etc.)
- Ability to Drive Well
- Ability to Speak English Well
- Childcare Experience

First, when we look at how all the 14 agencies were rated on Quality Au Pairs, we see that overall, only 7 out of the 14 programs do fairly well – with survey respondents rating them as Satisfied or Very Satisfied with the quality of the au pairs they reviewed or received from their agencies.
The remaining au pair agencies receive low ratings - host parents from these au pair agencies say they are Dissatisfied with the au pairs they received.
Individual Agency Ratings
While most agencies are able to recruit and offer good, stable and well-balanced au pairs who can drive and speak English well, there are individual agencies that stand out from the rest.
